RESERVATIONS

Please call 301-575-5700 for current pricing, to make a reservation, or to request information. Reservations can only be accepted after we have received all required client and guest information including proof of current vaccines. All reservations require a two-day deposit which is only refundable if Rocky Gorge Resort is given at least five business days notice of a cancellation. Submitting a request online or completing the online check-in form and/or the online Pet Lodging Agreement does not constitute making a reservation.

HOURS

Although team members are here taking care of our guests early in the morning and late into the evening seven days a week, 365 days a year, the resort reception desk and boutique hours of operation are:

Monday - Friday         7:00 am - 8:00 pm

Saturday                     7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Sunday                       7:00 am - 12:00 pm

There will be a late pick-up fee of $10 for each pet not picked-up within ½ hour after closing.  If your pet(s) is here longer than ½ hour after closing, your pet(s) will be checked into the least expensive room available for overnight lodging.

The owner will be responsible for both late fees and lodging fees for pets not picked up prior to closing.

These are the only hours available for guest check-in and check-out. Please allow sufficient time to complete the check-in or check-out procedure, especially during holidays and peak morning and afternoon hours.

Guests checking out prior to 10:00 a.m. are not charged for that day. Lodging guests scheduled for grooming on check-out day are not charged lodging for that day, as the pet will be moved to the spa for housing. If check-out is on a Sunday or holiday when grooming is closed, the regular lodging fees will apply and grooming will be completed the prior day. The grooming spa is open every day except Sunday and holidays. Appointments are recommended. Walk-in guests will be accommodated as circumstances allow.

Doggy Day Camp is open Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Full and half-day sessions are available. Reservations are recommended and the participants must have completed a free temperament assessment prior to coming to play. Call the resort at 301-575-5700 to schedule a temperament assessment, which may be scheduled for evenings and weekends for your convenience.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Our guest services providers closely monitor our guests, immediately reporting any medical concerns to our medical team. Lodging is meticulously maintained and monitored in a temperature-controlled environment. The owner or his agent agrees to pay for any site damages beyond normal wear and tear incurred by his pet(s).

We provide ample and comfortable bedding for our guests that we wash daily. We cannot assume liability for the loss or destruction of any personal items, nor can we promise that bedding brought from home will be laundered and ready to go home upon check-out. Therefore, we discourage bringing personal items, including beds and toys.

We offer a menu of veterinary quality Purina products. However, our resort kitchen is equipped to accommodate the dietary needs of our guests and we are more than happy to prepare whatever food you bring. We have a refrigerator and a microwave if your companion prefers "home-cooked" meals.

Please bring any medications to be administered in their original, labeled containers. Our guest services providers administer oral and topical medications at no additional charge. Members of the medical team administer insulin and fluids for a nominal fee. If a refill or additional medication is required, the pharmacy will dispense the medication and the charges will be added to your bill. Diabetic guests may be moved from the resort into the hospital if it is deemed necessary by our doctors that their food intake or blood sugar needs to be monitored more closely.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

We require that all guests visiting our facility maintain current vaccinations. This is mandatory to ensure the health and safety of your pet as well as the other guests of the resort.

Canine Requirements:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza
  • Bordetella (must be current within twelve (12) months)
  • Fecal Exam (must show negative results within twelve (12) months)

Feline Requirements:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus

Because time is required after the vaccine is administered for immunity to build, vaccines should be given in a regularly scheduled office visit at least 72 hours prior to your pet's visit. However, any guest not up-to-date will be placed in isolation and given these vaccines at the owner's expense. Please keep in mind that an examination must be given with any vaccine administration and that fee of $52.50* will be added to your bill.

If your pet is not a patient of the doctors here at Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital, proof of current vaccinations is required before a reservation or grooming appointment can be scheduled.

TREATMENT AUTHORIZATION

If your pet becomes ill while a guest here, a veterinarian will examine him/her. Uncomplicated problems such as persistent diarrhea, broken or split nails, abrasions from rubbing on doors, etc. will be treated medically as directed by our medical team. More serious problems may warrant diagnostic blood and/or urine tests and possibly X-rays or ultrasound. A treatment authorization will be completed at check-in. In the event of serious illness, we will attempt to reach you, but will administer treatment and begin diagnostics as our doctors deem necessary. Because we are a medical facility devoted to providing state-of-the-art medical care to the pets in our care, it is our policy that non-treatment of an illness or injury is not an option.
