
IMPORTANT UPDATE ON COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES
In the 70 years that Rocky Gorge has been providing care to the Laurel community and surrounding areas, we have never experienced anything like COVID-19. With the most recent updates, we have decided that we need to make some adjustments to our daily operations in order to keep our team safe, yet still provide care for your pets.
At this time we are offering limited appointments for sick patients as well as spays, neuters, routine dentals, wellness exams and nail trims. Please make your appointments using our online tool. Our ER team will still be available for emergencies and critical care patients. Our surgeries will be limited to emergency surgeries only.
We ask that if you are ill, please inform us when making the appointment or upon check in. We have a phone line dedicated to checking in once you arrive at the hospital, and we will meet you in the parking lot to bring your pet inside. That number is 301-776-7744 and can be accessed by texting. We will be unable to accommodate any other questions or requests on that number.
Assuming there is no disruption to the postal service, we are still able to mail out most prescriptions. Please allow for the delay that is associated with mailing them and remember that you can make your requests via Vitus Vet.
We understand that these are trying times and are sorry for any inconvenience this causes. We hope our efforts allow us to remain open for you and your pets.
